Investment

Good work deserves room.

Therapy is an investment of time, attention, and money. The first two become clear as the work goes on; the third should be clear before it starts. So here is what it costs, and what the cost is for.

IPricing

Therapy is $165 per couples session.

Individual therapy is $150 per session. Premarital therapy is $125 per session.

IIThe investment

The investment is more than the hour.

What you’re paying for isn’t really the hour in the room. It’s the chance to slow down a pattern that has usually been running for months or years — long enough that it has started to feel like simply how things are.

For a couple, that can mean a different way of responding to each other when conflict, distance, fear, or disappointment shows up. For an individual, it can mean seeing the patterns that have shaped how you move through relationships and hard stretches, clearly enough to do something with them.

Whether that is worth it is a judgment only you can make.

IIIWhat you're paying for

You’re paying for attention.

Most conversations move quickly. Someone describes a problem, someone else offers a take, and the moment that actually mattered has already gone by. A session is slower than that, on purpose.

The work is someone tracking what happens — between you and your partner, or inside you. The small shifts, the thing that got skipped, the point where the tone changed. Staying with it rather than hurrying past it toward advice.

That kind of attention is not how most of life is arranged. It is most of what an hour here is for.

VCommon questions

Questions about cost.

How much does couples therapy cost?

$165 per session. That is the rate for every couples session — no packages, no tiers.

How much does individual therapy cost?

$150 per session.

Do you accept insurance?

No. This is a private-pay, out-of-network practice, so I don't bill insurance directly. Whether your plan offers any out-of-network reimbursement is a question for them; it is worth raising early if it matters to you.

Is couples therapy more expensive than individual therapy?

Slightly. Couples sessions are $165 and individual sessions are $150. A couples session involves two people and a more complicated set of things to follow, and it is priced a little higher for that.

How do I know if therapy is worth the investment?

You don't, entirely, before starting — which is a normal position to be in with anything that matters. What you can do is have a first conversation, get a clear sense of how the work goes and whether it fits, and decide from there. No one expects you to commit to a course of therapy from a pricing page.

What happens after I reach out?

You send a note through the contact page about what is bringing you in. We find a time to talk, and work out together whether to go further.

If the work feels right, let’s talk.

You don’t need to decide anything now. A first conversation is just that — a chance to describe what’s going on and see whether this is the right fit.
